To celebrate the Oct.17/2017 release of my second solo picture book, SAM & EVA, I am giving away a small keepsake like the one in the photo above (on the right) to anyone who pre-orders my book by Oct.15. Each keepsake is approximately 5-6" wide and 4" high, hand-painted and signed, mailed with a cardboard backing in an archival-safe clear protective bag.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO:

1) Pre-order SAM & EVA by October 15, 2017.

2) Fill out this form. You'll be prompted for a photo/screenshot of your receipt as well as a snailmail address where I can send your keepsake. This offer is open to anyone anywhere in the world. Huge thanks to Simon & Schuster Children's and Simon & Schuster Canada for funding and handling mailings in North America. I will cover other mailings out of my own pocket. Offer lasts until midnight, October 15th or until my supplies run out, whichever comes first.

 Q. How did you create these keepsakes?

A. I printed out the basic template (b&w figures of Sam & Eva drawing on a blank wall) on acid-free heavyweight watercolor paper, nine to a sheet, on my Epson R2000 using archival ink. After cutting up the sheet into individual pieces, I added art to each image with watercolor paints and Kuretake watercolor brushes, then signed each.

The first 100 pre-order swag requests also get these SAM & EVA stickers!

Q. What kind of pre-orders do you accept? What if I pre-ordered through Amazon?

A. Pre-orders with any store (including online) accepted. If you pre-order with an indie bookstore, however, you'll ALSO be automatically entered in a super-special giveaway for extra goodies. 

Q. I live on an uncharted island in the Bermuda Triangle! Will you still send me a keepsake?

A. As long as you provide me with an address that accepts postal mail and I haven't run out of supplies yet, then sure. Again, HUGE THANKS to Simon & Schuster U.S. and Simon & Schuster Canada for covering mailings in North America. This makes it possible for me to be able to afford to open up my offer to non-North American addresses as well (I will be covering the latter out of my own pocket).
