Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 9:59PM A good practice for writing picture books is to truncate movies or novels into a 100-word story for children. Teddy Newton did this for his own brilliant short film, Day & Night (part of the Toy Story 3 theatre experience). In this video, he explains a bit about the adaptation from film to picture book:
