Appreciating the moment
My life has had its ups and downs but these days it's mostly been ups, and I'm grateful. I so wish we could save up these kinds of moments to take out when we most need them, don't you? Appreciating what I have and the people in my life.

What you write might change the world
I created this image by photographing the pencil first, importing it into Photoshop, then adding digital art using custom brushes. I turned this into a free, print-ready poster with the quote "What you write might change the world." (DebbieOhi.com/printready)

Floating
This was experiment with water textures. I used a bunch of layers and played around with opacity levels as well as layer masks.
As is usual when doing my Daily Sketches, I didn't really know what I was going to draw when I opened up my blank canvas. I started with some watercolor and semi-transparent textures first, with blues and greens and violets, adjusting transparency. At first I was going to do an underwater scene but then changed my mind. I sketched the girl on a separate layer, then created the color of her skin, hair etc. beneath that layer.
