Thanks so much to the educators and librarians who have been telling me how they've been introducing WHERE ARE MY BOOKS? to their students and patrons.
BOOK PAIRINGS
I've especially been enjoying hearing about books they've been pairing up. Here are just some of their suggestions.
From Beth Peterson: Pairing Where Are My Books? with the Narwhal book from Heinemann's A Day In The Life: Polar Animal series:
Do you have other suggestions? Please let me know in the comments!
My book has been chosen for the OLA Best Bets Top Ten list of Picture Books!
Wow, my book has been chosen for the OLA Best Bets Top Ten list of Picture Books! So honoured.
AND LOOK, I GET A STICKER!!!!!
So honoured, considering the others books chosen for the list. The lists aren't up yet on the Ontario Library Association website, but hopefully soon.
Thanks to Strand Book Store for including Where Are My Books? in their "Books That Deserved More Limelight" list
Thanks so much to Strand Book Store for including Where Are My Books? in their list of favorite books that deserved more limelight in 2015! The Strand in one of my favorite bookstores in the world, so I'm pretty thrilled to be mentioned (for the record, I did feel as if I got a lot of support from my kidlit friends as well as my publisher last year -- THANK YOU!! :-)).
Free print-ready gift cards, signed WHERE ARE MY BOOKS? bookplates and how to participate in Simon & Schuster's #Read1Give1 Campaign
If you buy or have bought one or more copies of Where Are My Books? from an indie bookstore during November or December 2015, I'll send you a signed and doodled bookplate, a signed bookmark and a READ sticker. To request your bookplate(s), please fill out this form. If you fill out the form by December 15th, I promise to mail out your bookplates within 1-2 business days; after that, it may take longer because of holiday scheduling/mail. If you bought your book(s) before/after this time period or bought your book from a retailer other than an indie bookstore, I'm still happy to send you the above but would ask that you help with postage costs via Paypal to help cover my expenses since I'm paying for the bookplates, bookmarks, stickers out of my own pocket and Canadian postal rates are rising -- thanks for understanding.
Plus (!!!) if you buy your book(s) from an indie bookstore during Nov.28-Dec.24 and post a photo of yourself and the book in the store with the hashtag #Read1Give1, then Simon & Schuster will donate a book to Literacy Partners. It can be any book, not just mine! Read more about Simon & Schuster's "Give The Gift Of Reading" campaign.
I've also added some print-ready Where Are My Books?-themed gift/greeting cards to the WAMB Activities Page, free to download and print. Two cards to a sheet, prints on a regular 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper or cardstock.
And don't forget, you can also find links to free, print-ready bonus material for ALL my book projects at DebbieOhi.com/printready.
